Location and History

The Duchess is easily accessible as it is a stones’ throw of Battersea and Wandsworth overland stations, as well as Pimlico and Vauxhall tube stations and via major bus routes. The Duchess has attracted many a famous face since its’ makeover in 2007 including actress Billie Piper, who had a party to celebrate her birthday and the cast of the ITV television series, ‘Prime Evil’, who had their rap party there. Established actor Jason Flemyng has also been known to ‘own’ the legendary pub quiz.
Interior and Spaces for Hire

The Duchess prides itself on being a free house with an extensive list of fine vodka, rum, whisky and bourbon, including Oban 14 Year old single malt whisky and Black Cherry Ultimate Igloo flavoured vodka. The kitchen offers delicious food where you can choose from main courses such as Corn fed chicken breast, butternut squash with spinach & potato mash with red onion gravy to canapé plates of duck supreme with wild mushroom compote or sweet potato discs with scallop & pea puree.

There is a distinct relaxed pub atmosphere which spans over the two levels of the pub, encouraged by the bohemian collection of furniture, open fireplaces, LED lighting and fusion of artwork including a Pink Floyd Animals poster and antique chaise-longue. AV equipment is also available upstairs and down whilst upstairs can accommodate a DJ with a dancing floor and disco ball – perfect for wedding receptions.

The unique view of Battersea Power Station makes for a fantastic party backdrop. To take full advantage of this, the private room upstairs has an adjoining large balcony overlooking the grand landmark.

Capacities: The private room is suitable for 80 Stand-Up Reception / 40 Sit-Down Dinner. The whole pub is available for hire for up to 200 Stand-Up Reception.
